Goals

I've decided to add goals that I want to achieve here and the date I achieved them. As for now, I can only really do platformer games from scratch, using some of Unity's built in assets I could make a 3D platformer, FPS or games along those lines but I want to learn how to do them from scratch, so I can make the games mine and that way I'll be able to customise them to my hearts content.
First Person Camera

Achieved - Not yet

If I can do my own first person camera, I don't think I'll go the CoD way of first person shooters, I'll probably take more of a Portal style approach, where you have to use items you're given to reach a goal, although I'll probably do this mixing in a bit of a Metroid Prime style, where you have different areas and get power ups for achieving certain goals.

JRPG Mechanics

Achieved - Not yet

I've loved the Final Fantasy series since I was a kid, when I got my first Playstation with Final Fantasy VII (which back then I still thought was pronounced vy) and something about the old JRPG style makes me feel all warm and happy when playing them. It's not so much nostalgia, because I can pick up a series I never even knew existed but still enjoy them, whether its turn based (like Dragon Quest) or ATB (like Chrono Trigger) they just work so well and there's just a little bit of charm about them I can't put my finger on.

Actually finish a game

Achieved - Not yet

All I've done at the minute is take what I know and put it together in different ways, trying to find simpler and better ways of doing things, then adding new features (which I haven't uploaded yet because I'm not comfortable with it yet, it doesn't really show what I've added in) or use projects to try learn new things (like Ragequit, that started as a simple AI test), but I haven't had anything that I'd really consider finished yet. I have bigger goals too, but I guess I should push myself a little at a time.
